We’re a Wellington County-based organization with a vision to make Wellington County the safest and healthiest place in which to live, learn, work and thrive in Canada. We strive to make our communities safer by promoting and creating a safe environment and protecting others from harm.

In June 2013, Wellington County was designated as a safe community and an organization was formed from various community members representing different safety sectors. Since then, residents and these representatives from various organizations have come together to identify several injury categories and the top three concerns for Wellington County. Along with The County of Wellington’s Police Services Board, Safe Communities is working to create The Community Safety & Well Being Plan which includes 4 levels of intervention.

As an organization, Safe Communities Wellington County is working to inform the community and build on steps to make Wellington County a safer place to live.
