Motor Vehicle Collisons Action Group

The Motor Vehicle Action Group is comprised of four passionate individuals who are all employees of The County of Wellington:  Pasquale Costanzo & Kayla Martin, Roads Department, Blaine Burman, Social Services, and Cathy Sweeney, Emergency Management.
In 2023, Parachute and Ipsos conducted a national survey of adults in Canada (18 and older) to determine their attitudes toward road safety and knowledge about Vision Zero. Compared to a similar survey in 2023, the findings showed increased support for some measures such as reduced speed limits, particularly in residential areas, and also growing concern about road safety.
Safe Communities Wellington County understands that reducing speeds, improving road designs, and sharing the roads are crucial to road safety across Wellington County.  Our motor vehicle collision action group will be addressing these issues through messaging across the radio waves, focussing on aggressive, impaired and distracted driving.
