Motor Vehicle Collisons

Between 2010 and 2015, 2780 visits to Emergency Rooms across Wellington County were caused by Motor Vehicle Collisions (On & Off Road). Two hundred and seventy seven people were hospitalized for more than 1600 days, that is an average of 5.9 days of hospitalization for each person. Ninety Percent of these injuries are completely preventable. Billions of dollars across Canada are spent on hospitalizations caused by preventable injuries.* In 2018 1,763 Motor Vehicle Collisions were reported across Wellington County. Seventeen people were killed and 64 collisions involved alcohol.
